Brondby winger Clement Bischoff is attracting interest from a host of Premier League clubs, having seen a move to Brighton collapse earlier this year, TBR Football can reveal.
Brighton and Hove Albion had agreed terms with Brondby on a £6 million deal for the highly-rated teenager, however, the 19-year-old did not reach an agreement with the Seagulls and the deal was called off.
The South Coast club remain keen on Bischoff, who operates down the left side, from full-back to winger, but they are now set to face strong competition for his signature.
TBR Football can now reveal that a number of Brighton’s rivals are taking a keen interest in Bischoff’s progress.
Chelsea and Tottenham enter race to sign Clement Bischoff
Chelsea, Manchester City, Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur have watched Clement Bischoff in action since the Danish season resumed in March, sources have told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey.
The 19-year-old currently has two goals and ten assists in 38 matches for the Danish club this season and his form has attracted interest from several major European clubs.
Dutch giants Ajax and PSV Eindhoven have also been following his progress, along with Monaco and Borussia Dortmund.
Bischoff’s form for Brondby also saw him called up to Denmark’s Under-21 squad, where he has already registered his first assist.
What Brondby’s manager has said about Clement Bischoff’s potential
Brondby’s manager, Frederik Birk, has revealed that Bischoff has come on leaps and bounds across his first full season in the Danish Superliga.
Back in February, Birk told the media: “I would like to commend Clement for an extremely professional approach to his own talent development. That is what is bearing fruit now.
“That he has come to play in the Super League and has made a really, really great jump into the left wingback position for a period. Now even more is being written about the young man, and that’s only because he has done well.”
