Arsenal can offer Rodrygo exactly what he wants as Real Madrid forward grows ‘tired’ at the Bernabeu – Opinion

Rodrygo Goes could become one of the biggest names to move during the summer transfer window, with the Brazilian winger growing ‘tired’ of his situation at Real Madrid.

Arsenal have been linked with Rodrygo and the Gunners will need to start positioning themselves given the latest development surrounding the player.

Liverpool have spoken to Rodrygo’s representatives in recent weeks, with the race to sign the 24-year-old starting to heat up with his future at Real Madrid now unclear.

The Brazilian international is growing tired of one thing which is happening to him at Madrid and this is something Mikel Arteta and Arsenal should try to capitalise on.

Rodrygo frustrated at not playing left wing for Real Madrid

Rodrygo Goes is frustrated at not being played in his preferred role as a left wing for Real Madrid, according to Gustavo Hofman from ESPN BR.

The Brazilian feels his best position is on the left, however, he faces competition from Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe for that role.

Instead, Rodrygo has featured mostly on the right wing and has also been deployed as a centre-forward for Madrid this term.

Hofman revealed: “Rodrygo wants to play in his position. Rodrygo is tired of being used in other positions, he wants to play on the left. What will that result in? We will see in the coming days, weeks, and next season.

“But this is information I got from people close to him. Rodrygo wants to play in his position, where he has always performed best.”

Arsenal could offer Rodrygo exactly what he wants

Arsenal are on the hunt for a new starting left winger this summer and Rodrygo could be the perfect option for them.

Gabriel Martinelli remains in Arteta’s plans, however, it is clear that an upgrade is required on the left side of their attack.

If the Brazilian is keen to be playing club football on the left wing next season, Arsenal must make it clear to him that he could consistently do so at the Emirates.

Nico Williams is another player Arsenal are targeting, but if it came to a straight choice between the two, Arsenal would be crazy not to choose the more experienced Rodrygo.
