A new plan?
As its pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz seems to be on shaky footing, Bayern Munich could turn its attention to RB Leipzig star Xavi Simons per Fabrizio Romano:
Xavi Simons’ decision has been made: he’s ready to leave RB Leipzig this summer.
Plan confirmed as reported in the recent months, he’s ready for new chapter with top Premier League clubs and Bayern all attentive to his situation.
RB Leipzig, aware of the player’s plan.
Sky Sport journalist Philipp Hinze added some context to the story as well, including what the transfer fee might be:
As already reported on Monday: Xavi Simons wants to play in the Champions League and is free to leave, provided an interested party offers a suitable fee. Leipzig is seeking €80 million € , which sounds almost utopian given the Dutchman’s recent performances. Nevertheless, they hope to generate a significant profit after the €50 million + X invested.
Would Simons be a satisfactory option if the pursuit of Wirtz fails?
Just two weeks ago, Bayern Munich was rumored to be “out” on Simons, but now…maybe things have changed.
