Liverpool are reportedly on the verge of signing Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to join Real Madrid after announcing he will leave Liverpool at the end of this season.
While he is not an easy player to replace, the Reds seem to have wasted little time in lining up a replacement.
While Conor Bradley has been identified as a solution from within the club, they have also moved in fast for Frimpong.
In fact, according to TBR Football, the deal for Frimpong is expected to be completed this week.

While the 24-year-old Bundesliga star may be a straight right-back replacement for Alexander-Arnold, there have been suggestions that Slot could use Frimpong as a wing-back.
And according to The Times, Liverpool have a plan mapped out for Conor Bradley. As per the report, Bradley is viewed by the club as someone who possesses the qualities to thrive in the right-back position.
And given his fitness concerns this season, the Merseyside club’s medical department is said to be working on a plan to help the 21-year-old academy graduate overcome this going into next season.
This suggests that there is a possibility that Slot uses Bradley as right-back and Frimpong on the right flank which could force Slot to change Salah’s position.
Jeremie Frimpong would be a great signing for Liverpool
Regardless of the position he ends up playing at Liverpool, there is no doubt that Frimpong is going to be a quality signing for the Reds.
He was a huge part of Xabi Alonso’s success at Bayer Leverkusen last season, scoring 14 goals and assisting another 12 in 47 games across all competitions, helping his side win the Bundesliga ahead of Bayern Munich, as well as the German Cup.
This season he has scored 5 and assisted another 12 to continue his fine form.

Being Dutch, he already shares a deep bond with the likes of Ryan Gravenberch, Cody Gakpo, and Virgil van Dijk and should have no trouble settling into the club.
