Early domination for City didn’t lead to a breakthrough and against the run of play Eze scored to give Crystal Palace the lead. The match was full of incident, with Dean Henderson handling the ball outside the area but avoiding a red card, before later saving an Omar Marmoush penalty.
Despite a number of chances, City were unable to find an equalizer and had to leave Wembley as beaten finalists.
