Exclusive: Bournemouth set their Antoine Semenyo asking price after interest from Man United

3 Min Read

TBR Football can exclusively reveal that Bournemouth will not allow any of their players to leave the club unless it is entirely on their terms – with no release clauses in place once Dean Huijsen leaves this summer.

Sources have confirmed to TBR Football that Huijsen’s deal is a one-off exception, and the Cherries were only willing to accept a clause in his agreement to secure the highly-rated defender.

But following his exit, the club are making it clear that no other player has such a clause, and future sales will only happen on their conditions.

This strict stance comes amid significant interest in several key Bournemouth stars, including Milos Kerkez, Illia Zabarnyi, and Antoine Semenyo.

Bournemouth name asking price for Antoine Semenyo amid interest from Man United

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Bournemouth have slapped a hefty price tag on Semenyo.

Semenyo has drawn strong interest from Manchester United. But they are not alone in their pursuit. Liverpool have previously scouted him, while clubs from Saudi Pro League have also shown interest in the 25-year-old.

While Bournemouth are open to selling the Ghana international, sources insist that it will only happen if their asking price, believed to be close to £70m, is matched.

TBR Football also understands that the Cherries are in talks with Liverpool over Kerkez, but will only sanction a sale if their valuation is met. There is no buyout clause involved, and any agreement will be dictated by the club.

Meanwhile, Illia Zabarnyi has also been the subject of speculation, with Tottenham and Newcastle both keeping tabs on the centre-back’s situation following a strong campaign alongside Huijsen.

Antoine Semenyo has been immense for Bournemouth this season

The London-born winger has scored 11 goals and assisted another seven in 40 games across all competitions this season.

In the Premier League alone, he has racked up nine goals and six assists in 35 games.

What stands out most about Semenyo is his remarkable versatility.
