Chelsea are ready to pay the release clause for Eberechi Eze, the player who scored the winning goal for Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final.
But they face competition from Manchester City, the team that Palace beat in that final.70 million
That win means that Palace will play European football for the first time ever next season, and, whilst that may be enough to tempt him to remain at Selhurst Park, he is also in high demand this summer, after a season which has seen him score 13 goals and provide 11 assists in all competitions.
Even with a release clause of ₤70 million there will be no shortage of takers for a player who was rejected by numerous clubs as a boy, including Arsenal, Millwall, Reading and Sunderland, before finally getting his chance at Queens Park Rangers.
And he will be looking to add to his tally of ten senior England caps under Thomas Tuchel.
