The term ‘Spursy’, often used to mock Tottenham’s lack of trophies, can now be put to rest as Ange Postecoglou fulfils his vow of winning silverware in his second season at the helm.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah was evidently taken aback by the Spurs manager’s audacious claim, tweeting only seven minutes after Carragher: “He did say he’d win in his second season. Congratulations!”.
The Reds and Salah are set to hoist the Premier League trophy this Sunday following their last match of the season against FA Cup victors Crystal Palace at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Man United will be welcoming a hungry Aston Villa side aiming for Champions League qualification at Old Trafford, with the knowledge that a loss could leave them perilously close to ending the campaign in 17th place.
Liverpool.com says: It’s official then, United are the new Spurs.
They absolutely deserve it as well for their shambles of a season. If anything, they’ve gone backwards under Ruben Amorim, who Liverpool fans may well be looking at now and breathing a sigh of relief after ending up with Arne Slot instead.
