Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti will name his final XI in the home Bernabeu dug-out on Saturday afternoon, as the capital giants conclude their 2024-25 La Liga campaign against Real Sociedad.
Ancelotti will officially leave his role as Real Madrid boss on Sunday, and he will be desperate to sign off with a victory, although the team have already been confirmed as runners-up in this season’s La Liga table.
Real Madrid have appealed the yellow card handed to Jude Bellingham in the 2-0 win over Sevilla last time out, but as it stands, the England international is out of this weekend’s fixture through suspension.
Antonio Rudiger, Ferland Mendy, David Alaba, Eduardo Camavinga and Dani Carvajal will also again be missing, while Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior need to be assessed before final decisions can be made.
Brahim Diaz is back in training alongside Raul Asencio, with the latter a late withdrawal from the squad against Sevilla due to a muscular issue, and there is hope that both can be involved on Saturday.
Lucas Vazquez and Luka Modric are set to make their final league appearances for Real Madrid this weekend, with the pair expected to leave on free transfers following the Club World Cup.
There will also be another spot in the XI for Kylian Mbappe, who has scored 41 times during a wonderful debut season at the club, and he could again be joined in the final third of the field by Endrick.
Thibaut Courtois should also be back between the sticks after dropping down to the bench against Sevilla.
Real Madrid possible starting lineup: Courtois; Vazquez, Asensio, Tchouameni, F Garcia; Guler, Valverde, Modric, Ceballos; Endrick, Mbappe
