TBR Football can exclusively confirm that an update has emerged involving Arsenal star Ethan Nwaneri that has alerted the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.
Nwaneri is one of the best players to have come through the Arsenal academy in recent years, and the Gunners are eager to keep hold of him long-term.
Arsenal have been trying to get him to pen a new contract at the Emirates Stadium, but it’s not proving to be smooth sailing for the Gunners.
TBR Football can also confirm just how many of the world’s top clubs are now circling around Nwaneri and monitoring his situation closely.

Concerns emerge over Arsenal plans for Ethan Nwaneri’s immediate future
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Ethan Nwaneri is not close to committing himself to a new long-term contract and his long-term future at Arsenal is far from certain.
We can reveal that Nwaneri signed a three-year deal when he turned 17 in 2023 – which was the maximum deal at that point.
He turned 18 in March, at which point Arsenal were confident that a new long-term deal would be signed and sealed way before now – but we can reveal that he is some way from putting pen to paper.
Nwaneri has been involved all season in the first-team but has started just ten league games and he also knows that Arsenal are in the market for two more forwards this summer.
We understand Nwaneri and his camp have concerns about Arsenal’s plans for his immediate future and that is the primary reason that a new deal has not been agreed.
Nwaneri’s future is now something that needs resolving – and we understand that rivals are taking an interest in the situation.
We can confirm that Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool are all aware of Nwaneri’s possible issues, but we also understand there is very strong interest on the continent.
Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Barcelona are among those who would love to get their hands on one of English football’s brightest prospects.
Arsenal, for their part, insist that talks are ongoing and they are confident they can forge ahead and agree a new deal.
The worrying thing Tim Sherwood noticed about Ethan Nwaneri last month
When Nwaneri scored against Ipswich Town on April 20, pundit Tim Sherwood noted that the Arsenal player didn’t celebrate his goal.
“Nwaneri, he’s scored there, this boy, he hasn’t scored many, he scores there and he doesn’t celebrate,” Sherwood said about Nwaneri.
“That just shows you where they are as a group of players – that boy is disappointed, he’s devastated.
“We said that when Saka was missing it was his chance to step up, he did step up, but he can’t complain that Saka’s come in.
“He can see Saka is world-class, he has every right to be disappointed not to play, but that just shows you what they’re like in-house, they have loads of competition.”
The host suggested it might have been because it was a deflected goal, but Sherwood said: “You’re giving him the benefit of the doubt, I’m saying he’s got the hump.”
