Can you name the 2008 Champions League final squads?

Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan are currently preparing to square off in the Champions League final in Munich, that showpiece due to take place on June 1.

While PSG have lifted yet another Ligue 1 trophy, Inter have just missed out on defending their Serie A crown, witnessing Napoli pip them on the final day of the season with victory over Cagliari.

However, back in 2008, two English clubs contested the showpiece event for the first time in history as Manchester United and Chelsea went head to head in Moscow.

United have since suffered a fall from grace in the Premier League and recently suffered defeat in the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur, denying them a way through the back door to next season’s Champions League.

While United were looking to win their first crown since 1999, Chelsea were competing in their first final, five years on from Roman Abramovich‘s takeover of the club.

After extra time could not separate the teams, John Terry squandered the chance to win the trophy for Chelsea in the penalty shootout, before seeing a further miss from Nicolas Anelka hand United a memorable triumph.

Sixteen years on from that famous night in Russia, Sports Mole challenges you to name each of the matchday squads named by Sir Alex Ferguson and Avram Grant.
