‘We’d save money’: Luke Littler says he really wants Man Utd to sign £50m striker this summer

Manchester United have seriously struggled in the Premier League this season, and they have a big summer transfer window coming up.

However, one man who isn’t struggling in the Premier League who has a connection to Manchester United is Luke Littler.

The darts star is headed to the Premier League playoffs at the O2 Arena next week, and speaking to the BBC, he’s now shared his verdict on Manchester United’s summer transfer plans.

United need to have a big summer, and they’ve already been linked with some exciting additions.

Matheus Cunha has been linked to United, while Liam Delap is a United target too.

However, Littler has another attacking target in mind, claiming that he’d really like to see United sign Victor Osimhen this summer.

Luke Littler wants Manchester United to sign Victor Osimhen

Littler shared his verdict on who United should sign this summer.

The darts star says he’d love to see Victor Osimhen come to United, while he also called for Alessandro Bastoni and Felix Nmecha to arrive at Old Trafford.

“I’d go Osimhen, he’d score goals. His market value has gone down a bit since he’s been in Turkey, so we’d save money there. A centre-back, Bastoni, Martinez if he gets another injury to his knee he’s done,” Littler said.

“I’d sign that midfielder from Dortmund, I don’t know his name, he doesn’t even start. Him, the young lad, (Felix Nmecha) we’ve been linked to him.”

Victor Osimhen compared to Liam Delap

Liam Delap is United’s first-choice striker target, but Littler wants to see the Red Devils pivot and go for Osimhen instead.

It’s easy to see why Littler is so keen on Osimhen. After all, he’s been scoring for fun over in Turkey, and, even before that, he was banging in the goals in Serie A with Napoli.

Osimhen has outperformed Delap this season, that’s for sure.

Of course, this deal isn’t going to be as straightforward as it perhaps once would have been.

Osimhen wants to play at the top level, and United are currently 16th in the Premier League, so it’s going to be difficult to convince the Nigerian to make this move.

United may well have to settle for signing Delap this summer as a player like Osimhen may prove to be an unattainable target.
