A shocking report has revealed that Manchester United star Kobbie Mainoo will reject a new deal with the club as he’s decided to move on.
Ever since he broke through to United’s senior team last season, Mainoo has established himself as one of the most important players in Ruben Amorim’s squad.
But with just two years left on his current deal and no news of him signing an extension, United fans began to worry that their star player could be set to leave the club in the near future.
And it now appears that those fears have been confirmed, as a bombshell report has revealed that Mainoo will reject any extension offers presented to him as he has already decided where he wants to play.
A report from The Guardian has revealed that Mainoo currently plans to reject any contract extension offers from United and will instead look to for move abroad in the upcoming summer transfer window.
In light of the news, United have decided that they would be willing to sell the midfielder, who they value at £70million, in order to help their current financial situation.
The England international was linked with a move away from United during the recent January transfer window, but no concrete offer is believed to have been made.
Recent rumours had suggested that Mainoo was viewed as a potential summer target for Chelsea, but it has now been revealed that a move within the Premier League is not part of Mainoo’s current plan.

As it stands, Mainoo’s contract sees him earn £20,000 a week, but it is believed that and he and his team want to see this number significantly improved in order to reflect his newfound importance to the team.
With that in mind, United still believe that it may be possible to convince the 19-year-old to pen a new deal, despite the situation currently looking dire.
The Stockport-born talent joined United’s academy at the age of six and made his senior debut under Erik ten Hag as a 17-year-old in 2023.
Since then he has gone on to make 60 appearances for United, establishing himself as a key part of their midfielder.
