Arsenal have a big summer transfer window ahead of them.
Indeed, barring a miracle, it looks like Arsenal are going to fall just short in the Premier League again this season.
The title race is over according to some, and Arsenal need to sign some fresh faces if they want to challenge next season.
Arsenal have some targets in mind – Benjamin Sesko has been linked to Arsenal, while Alexander Isak is an Arsenal target too.
However, before Arsenal can make any signings, they need to bring in a new Sporting Director.
Edu resigned from Arsenal earlier this season, and he still hasn’t been replaced.
Andrea Berta is set to replace Edu, but, as of yet, that deal hasn’t been announced.
However, according to Ben Jacobs, speaking on the Highbury Squad YouTube channel, there could be news on that front very soon.

Arsenal set to announce Andrea Berta arrival shortly
Jacobs shared what he knows about when Arsenal will announce the arrival of Andrea Berta.
According to the journalist, Arsenal will announce Berta’s arrival shortly – potentially even this week.
“There are ongoing talks to extend his (Gabriel Magalhaes’) contract, which expires in 2027. Those will now be picked up with Andrea Berta,” Jacobs said.
“My expectation with Berta is that Arsenal will make that official either this week or certainly during the international break, he’s already signed.”
Who does Andrea Berta want to sign?
Berta will arrive at Arsenal with his own list of targets as he looks to reinvigorate this squad.
So, who does Berta want to sign when he arrives at Arsenal?
Berta is apparently keen on Matheus Cunha from Wolves, and with a reported £300m budget to spend in the summer, it wouldn’t be a shock if there were some big-name arrivals at the Emirates this summer.
Berta also likes Pablo Barrios from Atletico Madrid – his former club, while Berta also has his eyes on Bruno Guimaraes.
The Italian will want to make a big impact in his first transfer window in north London, and, if recent reports are to be believed. There’s reason to be excited about the beginning of the Berta era at Arsenal.
Edu did a great job at Arsenal, but Berta will be hoping to deliver a Premier League title at the Emirates.
