It’s been a WEEK folks. Oh, it’s Monday?
Bayern Munich picked up a 3-2 win over St. Pauli this weekend, but WOOF, not much else was good.
Hiroki Itō suffered another foot injury and is likely out for the season. Kim Min-jae added back problems to his Achilles tendonitis (and just general wear-and-tear). With Alphonso Davies and Dayot Upamecano both also out for the season (though Upamecano could return for a potential Champions League finale), the backline is in a tough spot.
Somehow, though, the news on Thomas Müller was just as disturbing. It appears as if Bayern Munich never made a formal offer to the veteran and is not going to make one. As to why that is the case, it is up for debate at the moment.
There are many different factors on how it ended up this way, but fans are coming to grips with the fact that the Raumdeuter might not be back for next season. For a lot of fans, their Bayern Munich fandom was built around or built by an admiration for the 2014 World Cup winner.
