Peter Crouch has revealed a funny story about how he enraged his wife, the popular Abbey Clancy, with a confusion about a Liverpool footballer whom the famous model mistook for a woman.

The 44-year-old, who played for Queens Park Rangers, Portsmouth, Aston Villa, Norwich City, Southampton, Liverpool, Tottenham, Stoke City and Burnley during his career, is now thriving as a television pundit and with his ‘That Peter Crouch Podcast’.

Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy, who have two sons and two daughters together, share ‘The Therapy Crouch’, a podcast in which they talk about their relationship after more than 20 years together and 16 years of marriage.

Why did Abbey Clancy confuse goalkeeper Alisson Becker with a woman?

In his latest show, Crouch told his partner “my gripe with your jumping to conclusions”.

“For example, last night we were watching the game and I said, ‘Oh my God, Alisson is on fire lately!'” said the former footballer.

“Who the hell is she? Who is she? Alisson, what kind of name is that?” Abbey Clancy said, according to Crouch.
