Mohamed Salah is hoping Virgil van Dijk will follow suit and sign a new deal at Liverpool, after he signed an extension this week.
Van Dijk scored the winner for Liverpool against West Ham on Sunday. While he may have been partially responsible for the own goal, Van Dijk, who was captaining the Reds for the 100th time he redeemed himself with the crucial strike, with Arne Slot’s men now needing just six points to win the title.
This season, much of the off-field conversation surrounding Liverpool has centered on the futures of Salah, Van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who had entered the final year of their current contracts at the beginning of the season.
