Bayern and holders Bayer Leverkusen are the only teams in with a title shot ahead of Matchday 31. However, Leverkusen’s draw against St. Pauli on Matchday 30 has tilted the scales in Bayern’s favour.
The record champions are eight points clear and will seal the deal if they win against Mainz and Leverkusen fail to beat Augsburg at home this weekend.
A Bayern draw and a Bayer loss would all but send the title to Munich, given the leaders’ vastly superior goal difference, but dropped points for the record champions and a win for Leverkusen would keep the race alive for at least another week.
