Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have both won the first legs of their Europa League semi-final clashes.

Spurs picked up a fairly comfortable 3-1 victory over Bodo/Glimt at home, while Manchester United secured a 3-0 win against 10-man Athletic Bilbao in Spain.

Both clubs are now the favourites to make it into the final of the Europa League, and an all-English clash will be exciting to see.

But, who would win the final if the two big Premier League sides face each other there? Jamie O’Hara has made a confident prediction.

Jamie O’Hara predicts potential Tottenham vs Manchester United Europa League final clash

Both Tottenham and Manchester United have had terrible domestic seasons.

Ange Postecoglou’s men are 16th in the Premier League table, while Ruben Amorim’s side are two points and two places above them.

The league season has to be viewed as a failure by both clubs, but their whole campaign will look very different if one of them wins the Europa League.

There is now a huge chance that Tottenham and Manchester United will be the ones to compete for the trophy in the final, and it will definitely be a great game to watch.

O’Hara, who has seen his Spurs side get the better of United on multiple occasions this season, is absolutely convinced that the Europa League trophy will be coming to North London.

He said on talkSPORT: “I’d much rather play Man United. We beat them three times this season and overran them in midfield. We get them in the final, we’re winning it.

“I’m telling you now, if we beat Bodo/Glimt and we get Man United in the final, Spurs are winning it.

“Spurs are back! I’m telling you now, Spurs are going to win the Europa League. I’m telling you.”

Have Tottenham and Manchester United faced each other in a final before?

Tottenham and Manchester United face each other in the Premier League every season, and they have often met in cup competitions as well.

But, have the two big English clubs played in a final against one another before?

The answer is yes – Tottenham and Manchester United faced each other in the final of the League Cup in the 2008/09 season.

The game ended 0-0 after 120 minutes, and Sir Alex Ferguson’s side got the better of Spurs in the penalty shootout at Wembley almost exactly 16 years ago.

Ironically, one of the Tottenham players who missed a penalty in that shootout was O’Hara.
