Liverpool are likely to be busy in the summer transfer window as they look to bring in reinforcements to build on their title-winning season.
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has confirmed that Liverpool have a “huge summer” on the cards in terms of their transfer plans.
“In terms of their back line, Liverpool are looking to bring in a new left-back, a new centre-back, and maybe a right-back,” wrote Bailey.
“Further up the pitch, the Reds will be looking for a new striker, and then this creative player – maybe LW and CAM.”
With regards to a new full-back, Liverpool have been linked with one player who Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo has revealed he hates facing.

Bryan Mbeumo says he hates facing Liverpool target Antonee Robinson
Mbeumo and Brentford teammate Yoann Wissa are the latest guests on the Obi One podcast.
When asked about the opponents they really hate coming up against, Wissa went with Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk and Chelsea’s Thiago Silva.
Meanwhile, Mbeumo picked Fulham star Antonee Robinson, who is wanted by Liverpool.
“I used to play against him when he was at Wigan and (he) changed completely,” said Mbeumo.
“When he arrived he was really athletic, quick, but with his feet he was like, not so good, you know?
“But throughout the years he improved a lot, and I think now he can do everything.
“He can attack, he can defend, he’s strong, he’s good with his feet now, and yeah, I think really, really hard to play against him.”
Why Antonee Robinson could be a great signing for Liverpool
TBR Football sources understand that some people at Liverpool actually prefer Robinson over Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez this summer.
Robinson would be a high-quality, ready-made option for Liverpool, having more than proven himself at Premier League and international level.
At 27 years old, Robinson is in his prime, and his key strengths include speed, reading of the game, and physicality. He’s also great at assisting his teammates.
Team | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Yellow cards | Red cards | Minutes |
Fulham | 187 | 3 | 21 | 33 | 1 | 15.706 |
United States | 50 | 4 | 8 | 4 | – | 3.943 |
Robinson’s speed is particularly impressive, with Opta stats – as of October last year – showing he has clocked up 35.1km/h.
As per those records, this made the £40million-rated ace faster than Trent Alexander-Arnold, who registered a top speed of 34.7km/h.
Liverpool fans have already given their verdict on the prospect of signing Robinson – and they’re certainly keen.
