The club has done this sort of thing before…

Bayern Munich, despite its apparent notoriety for “bullying” other German clubs, has shown willingness to help a club out if needed. Two notable examples include giving a loan to Borussia Dortmund in 2004 and playing a charity match against Kaiserslautern to help fund their 3. Liga licence. Now, another club has asked the Bavarians if they could lend a hand:

Nicole Kalemba (SpVgg Bayreuth managing director) asks Uli Hoeneß for a friendly match against FC Bayern in order to raise funds for her financially struggling club (currently in Regionalliga): That would be the ultimate dream. Dear Uli Hoeneß, we would be very happy to have a charity match. A game with FC Bayern can be an incredible jump for us. It can save the club.

For the sake of football heritage, Bayern ought to consider the proposal as long as Bayreuth won’t take a chunk of the “Bring Florian Wirtz to Munich“ fund.
