Liverpool gets Adidas jersey hint as Arsenal fans react to their new kit

Arsenal supporters are demanding for silverware to match the team’s “beautiful” new kit following the release of the Adidas home strip for the upcoming season on Thursday.

The Gunners will not be the only Premier League team to be sporting Adidas jerseys next season. Liverpool is set to enter a partnership with the manufacturer, as the club’s five-year deal with Nike draws to an end.

Several leaked designs of Liverpool’s new Adidas strips – including the home, third and goalkeeper jerseys – have emerged on social medai in recent days. The release of Arsenal’s new home jersey has given Liverpool fans a clue at what their team’s kit for next season will look like.

The familiar red torso with white sleeves and trim adorns Arsenal’s new shirt, which also features a subtle and well-received detail. Fans noted the presence of a classic ‘A’ emblem embossed in the fabric, harking back to Arsenal’s ‘Victoria Concordia Crescit’ crest from the 1949/50 season, recalling the aesthetic of their 1990/91 home kit.

Social media has been abuzz with Gooners expressing their approval. One admirer promptly ordered the jersey, commenting: “The fastest I’ve ever ordered an Arsenal home shirt. Absolutely love it!”

Another compared it favourably to past designs: “Nahh this is the best arsenal kit I’ve seen in a while. Only the black away kit of 2022/2023 comes close to it. Gives the red and white vibe, it’s so bright and deep too. Love it.”

While another fan eagerly anticipates its release, saying: “Absolutely cannot wait to get this… another beautiful kit for the 25/26 season.”

Although praise for the kit is widespread, other fans underscore the necessity for Arsenal to punctuate its stylishness with success. Echoing the sentiment, one fan called out: “Now win trophies.”

Liverpool pipped Arsenal, who hasn’t won a trophy in five years, to the Premier League title this season. Echoing the call for victory, another Gunners supporter said: “Great kit! Let’s make sure it’s remembered by winning something in it.”

Yet another urged: “Let’s win some silverware wearing this.”

Behind the scenes, academy product Myles Lewis-Skelly shared his enthusiasm for the new kit, saying: “I love our new kit, it looks fresh – I’m excited to wear this in front of our incredible supporters. Their energy lifts us and when we step out in the shirt, we feel it more than ever.”

In another nod of approval, Arsenal’s women’s captain Kim Little added: “Supporters are at the heart of everything we do, and this new kit connects to that so deeply. We carry our supporters with us, and they carry us with them, no matter where they are. They push us forward.”

Arsenal supporters will have the opportunity to witness the team in the new kit for the first time this weekend, as the London team concludes its Premier League home games against Newcastle.

The following match against relegated Southampton is likely to see the team donning this season’s away strip.
